5 & a Dime’s album will go down in the mashup record books. It’s a combination of these ideas that have been popularized by several artist in the scene; #BASSMOB brings all these ideas into one album. Naturally, this album has sample tracks from original artist, but also includes remixed versions of songs. Essentially, 5 & a Dime mashed up mashups, creating an epic combination of all the best sound, styles and samples this genre has made today. Download the Album, it’s fun one.
When people say Dubstep reminds them of robots, they’re talking about this song. A Hot One goes so hard in the paint it sounds like the robots are fucking. Helicopter Showdown goes crazy with sounds that I don’t even know how to describe it..maybe transformers transforming? Either way, this track is awesome. It still has synthetic melodic parts to balance out the drop, but this track goes hard in the paint, I’m so excited I found it. Download and Enjoy
Pretty Lights is still sticking to his roots, this song is more laid back than the last song posted We Know the Truth. This track is more chillaxed and bubbly, but with an interesting twist; it builds up more as the song goes on, while retaining its relaxed essence. Anyway, check out the song and video below.
Wick-It The Instigator is amazing, every track that he creates is just a clusterfuck of awesome electronic music. His remix are way most sick: He recently remixed Shout At the Devil and Thriller and both were on my current listening playlist for a while. Future Krunk is musically and metaphorically mind blowing. It’s a dirty track that will get you into party mode, but the song means more than that. These are the type of jams that future generations will be raging to. So keep that in mind, listen, and download.
I love the internet, I just learn about upcoming artist every day using barely energy, you really, can’t ask for more. I never heard good weed be referred as “Loud” until I moved to the dirty south aka Alabama. The track is chill, Great Minded Brothers have talents but I could see them getting real big if they could just could add a little swag to their style. Anyway, I love the video, keep doing what your doing GMB.
This track is a definate party dubstep song, the wobbles have fun up-and-down patterns on top of lively drums; begging for fucked up people to let loose and dance. Dealta Heavy’s remix of the track is well done and most impressive. The vocal sample is cut up well but still flows naturally. Download and Enjoy.
My fucking apartments internet has been out all day -_-.I like this track because it really pays tribute to Etta Jones. She did wonderful things in blues music during her time AND her voice becuase reinvented when pop, house, and dubstep artist started sampling her voice. Shane Martz remix really lets you feel the power of her voice, sampling a longer version of Jones’s voice. This track is super chill and great listen. Download and Enjoy.
The track says it all, the song is killer. Killin’ it by Krewella has all my favorite dubstep styles in one song: good build ups, filthy, yet melodic drops. Glitchy, yet clean vocals, sick drums and diverse sounds all throught. You couldn’t ask for more in a dubstep song. I’ll defiantly be following Krewella from here on out.
Ellie Goulding‘s talent is great in itself, her voice is beautiful and her beat is relaxing, but they’re is something else that makes her special: Dubstep’s particular desire have her voice included on many popular tracks. I figured I would give her credit where credit is due and post some of the orginal and remixed Ellie Goulding tracks.
