Hardwell hands it to you every time he drops a track. Last week was Hardwell’s remix of Krewella’s ‘Alive‘ and today he drops ‘NeverSayGoodbye’; a track that will fundamentally change your standard of “good sound” or “good effects.” The silk smooth yet hard hitting melody backed by sick vocals makes this track worth the purchase.
Glad I woke up to this! Bro Safari & UFO! go together like peas and carrots. They’re collaberative involvement has brought hits like ’2012!’ and I’m sure many unreleased demos. ‘Burn the Block’ was uploaded to the SoundCloud feed so you know I had to show ‘em to you. Burn the Block is closer to the roots of trap music than most ‘trap’ tracks I hear today. Very Hip-hop oriented and pretty chill.
If you’re not a fan of PrettyLights or if you don’t know him (AKA Derek Vincent Smith) then you’re missing out on a huge chunk of EDM culture. He has produced some of the trippiest track in all of Glitch Hop music, you know the vocal part in ‘Avicii – Levels’, ya, Pretty Lights Inspired that.
He has a new teaser that has been flying around for the new album ‘A Color Map of the Sun.’ It shows him creating his own sample of his classic blues/jazz/soul sound. Check out the video below and look out for the new album In June!
We all are sad because we aren’t at EDCNY (except for the people at EDC NY) so the best choices we have is crying over it OR listening to the dope sets big name EDMers laid down in the past two days. So far, NickyRomero, R3hab and DJChuckie have popped on my Soundcloud feed, so how could I not post them?
YvesBash, the Belgium producer, messaged me through the interwebs a while back and brought some free download for you! The fans! Yves Bash has a creative way of putting (good) weird twist on some sick electro house originals. My favorite is defiantly ’Lose Yourself (Yves Bash remix)’ there’s just something about the way the drop flows, it gets me every time! Again ALL the tracks in this set, are free, much love for Yves Bash for hitting me up.
As if Empire of the Sun wasn’t weird enough, Mat Zo transforms ‘Alive’ into a easy listen. The slow paced, yet remarkable remix features glitch saw keyboard sounds, soft synths, and enhanced (in every sense of the word) vocals. All I can say is it’s worth the 5-minutes! First Zedd, now this? I’m amped for the Remix package coming out.
Wow, this song goes from gentle to heavy very quickly, the ‘HeyNow (LaidbackLuke)’ Remix goes hard in a way you’ll never believe until you listen. This track was premiered by the oh so notable Pete Tong. The whole thing is very appealing from beginning to end.
Swedish singer Lune has been working with SwedishHouseMafia to remake their 2009 hit (with LaidbackLuke) pretty special. There’s been a few clips, here and there, teasing us about the collaboration, but giving little info as to what the project is. Yesterday, at 8:30 CET, we learned: It’s a music video, which sentimentally portrays Axwell, Angello and Ingrosso in there post-EDM star life. It hard not to get caught up in the moment, enjoy above.
IDestiny is a Texas favorite of mine. His dubstep and mashups is just pure fun to listen to! I found that GlitchHop.Net (apart of The EDM Network) used inspiring works to describe this remix:
“From the electro to the dubstep influences, everything about this track screams big-room from the top of its lungs. This is one for the record books, with enough massive energy to go for years. This remix takes the fast energy of the original, slows it down to glitch speed, and totally funkifies everything. Go grab this download while you can, because this is a gem to remember.”
And, as usual, the track is free! So grab it below.
Lune is set to produce a new Swedish HouseMafia documentary featuring the 3 Swed fellas: Axwell, Angello, and Ingrosso. Very few details are given out about what the film is about, but you can guess that it’ll about life after SHM, even though Ingrosso and Axwell have their Departures project and solo careers they’re focusing on. So I guess we will see all the detail. May 17th 8:30 PM CET.
