Moiez – Free Tracks + EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

If there’s one thing Moiez is talented at. It’s progressive house. The Vancouver-based musician has remixed some of the greats, such as Steve Angello, Hardwell, and  Armin Van Buuren. His remix of ‘This Is What It Feels Like” buzzed across the blogosphere and luckily caught my eye. I was beyond engulfed in the sound the first time I heard it. The effects Moiez adds to his sounds not only matches the professional  quality sound of the original, but goes beyond what most remixers would expect to achieve.

I had the chance to share a view words with the up-and-coming artists. Really nice guy, very open to sharing, caring, collaborating, spreading EDM love, an all around positive guy. PLUR life! haha. Check out the interview below.

Chad: Thanks for doing this interview, sorry it took a while, but time doesn’t slow the inspiration your remix brings the world! What got you into EDM music and culture? Where did you’re Musical journey start?
 .
Moiez: Hey Chad! Its good to meet you dude, thanks for reaching out and asking for an interview!
I got into EDM when I was in the 9th grade. I was introduced to artists such as Armin, Tiesto, Dash Berlin, and was hooked right away.

Chad: To Start off, how old are you ?
.
Moiez: I started messing around after being introduced to the software FL Studio. After getting the hang of producing, I started with Hip-hop, entered a contest, and won it when I was in a duo called TheSoundCrate. I was the only contestant who had won two tracks, and this really helped me gain some confidence in my productions. As soon as I was introduced to EDM, I started producing it and developing my own sound. As of last year, I started sending out my music to a blog I am a big fan of called FreshNewTracks, they loved my music, and since then I have been working on under the name Moiez.
I just turned 21 on May 10th.
 .
Chad: That’s super cool. Seems like a positive rise in success since you’ve started. I know that blog, their music taste are great too. So what’s the next step for Moiez?
.

 .
Moiez: Thanks! I couldn’t have done all this without the support of blogs such as Brainless Beats, and many more who I try my best to mention and thank each and every day.
.
The next step is to get out there and play some reputable shows. I really love DJing, its one of aspect of creating EDM that I can’t say is the same with each and every genre of music. I have my debut in Chicago at SAMF, a few gigs on the side while I’m there, and on June 1st, I am opening for Project 46. I will also be working on a ton of music this summer, I always like having multiple releases ready to go! For the long term, i really would like to establish myself as a successful producer and be able to play alongside some of my idols. I really just want my music to reach the globe and to expand my fan base.
.
Chad: What future plans did the success of the Armin remix bring you?
.
Moiez: The success of the Armin remix has really helped me understand the power of social media even more. I think creating melodic remixes and then bouncing back to the more hard-hitting club tracks has also helped train myself and improve my skills as a producer too.

Chad: Hell ya! Love it man, who are you idols and what are to current favorite songs/artists?
.
Moiez: I really look up to Armin, Alesso, Avicii, SHM, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso in particular, Hardwell, Dyro, Tiesto, Dash Berlin, I have many favourites.
My favourite song right now would be Leprechauns and Unicorns, or Never Say Goodbye, oh and Beautiful Life by Armin.
.
Chad: What type of software do you use?
 .
Moiez: I use Fl studio for producing, and I Traktor for DJing
.
Chad: What artist or organization have reached out to you in support?
 .
Moiez: Many Indie artists such as myself. MilkNCookies who have a strong grasp of the local scene in Chicago, The2Friends, and a few Indie Labels. Some major artist support include 3lau who I am in contact with and in the process of launching a song with, and I have been in touch with artists who I have made bootlegs and remixes for such as Electric Joy Ride, Krewella who have supported my remix of Apollo and had previously asked to remix their hit song Alive (a remix wasn’t released due to time constraints). But those are a few I can recall.
.
Also have been in touch with Promotional companies in cities like Seattle, Chicago, Miami, and New York, working on a few gigs and lining up some shows

Chad: So I think that about wraps it up, any final words you wanna say to your fans?
.
Moiez: To all my fans, each and every day I remember the true reasons for why I make music and why I choose to produce Electronic Dance Music. That is because of there is so much love, support and gratitude that I get to experience for every new song, remix and/or mix that I release. Thank you for all of your support and feedback. I enjoy making music so much and its even more enjoyable when I have fans who take the time to tell me how they feel about the music I make and those who keep showing support and spreading the word.
.
Also, thank you Chad on behalf of Brainless Beats for this interview! I will be working my ass off this summer so keep a lookout on the facebook page, I hope to release a lot of new music.

Hardwell Premiere’s His Remix Of Krewella’s ‘Alive’ on Pete Tong’s Essential Sessions

Pete Tong, The BBC Radio 1 DJ Host and of Essential Sessions, had Hardwell featured on his show and you’ll never guess what the featured..Krewella’s amped about it. But we all want to when is the official release!

Capture.
This song, is like nothing you’ve heard before. Hardwell is a perfect example of artist taking Electro House…fuck that, taking EDM in a brand new direction. Let me digress,  ‘Krewella – Alive (Hardwell Remix)’ never comes down. The track has a build up and a drop, but , even at the peak of the power, another build up, like you’ve never felt, hits your ears. This is something that is easier heard than spoken, CHECK IT OUT BELOW !

Krewella – Troll Mix Vol. 4 Get Ripped Or Die Trying

Krewella does it again! Their Troll Mix series is notoriously known for being one of the heaviest EDM mixes out there today. Their 4th installment is no different. The trio mix some old, new, and remixes, just everything! If you love upbeat dubstep this is a mix that you simply cannot miss. My personal favorite is the ‘Make the Girlies Wet (Breeze & Modulate remix).’ The mix is free so get it below!

Krewella – Troll Mix Vol. 3: Makeout Edition // Dope Chillstep Mix

.
Krewella, the Chicagoan trio, have dropped the third installment of their hit Troll Mix. Undoubtedly, the Makeout Edition aka the Valentines Edition is presentation of Krewella’s chiller/non-party side. Personally, I like their party side much more, but I can respect what this Mix has too offer. If features original remixes from Adventure Club, Zed’s Dead, Nosia and many more. Full track listing and free download posted below.

Acetronik – January 2013 Mix // Dope Monthly Mix

.

Acetronik new mix is everything you could want in a monthly mash of hit tracks. Deep electro-house, sexy chick vocals,  trap and everything in between. The mix is lively and diverse from beginning to end featuring tracks, from Krewella, The M Machine and much more. Diversity and eclecticism is key and Acetronik seems to have tap into these ideals.. Go deep into the mix people, go deep.

Krewella – Troll Mix Vol. 2 Road to Ultra // INTENSE Dubstep Mix

.
If you don’t already know how I feel about Krewella, let me tell you. They’re my absolute favorite. They’re all beautiful, talent and dedicated. Their sound and a catastrophic combination of vocal, melody, pop and bass-heavy dubstep. Their second installment of the Troll Mix is no different. Krewella can almost be defined as it’s own genre (maybe just in my eyes.) So the Troll Mix is them plus everything that fits their category. Do not miss this.

Krewella’s KREWLIFE Episode 3: NYE // Insightful Webisodes

I’m not sure if you guys realize it, but Krewella is so, so dope, they’re a trio, a dance sensation, tremendous producers, party people, could you as for more? Brainless Beats has posted handfuls of tracks and even had a special on these three. These webisodes really give a first hand look into the daily life of this group, the videographer Miles Evert does a FANTASTIC job of mixing party moments and nostalgic moments in the episodes. Can’t wait to see more Krewella!

Krewella Special: Top Original, Remixes and More. // Informative Artist Review

2012 was a great year for Krewella. The Chicago-based trio have produced outstanding tracks since their debut in Summer 2012. The group consists of Jahan, Yasmine and Rain Man. When you see Krewella you think that his ladies friends are some back-up dancers for a photoshoot but in fact their creative input completely give Krewella its credible quality.

Listen to tracks below and notice the sheer power and pop in the tracks, remixes by Cash Cash, Dirtyphonics and more provide a natural change to already party-heavy tunes.

Krewella – This Is Not The End  |  Preview Only

Here is This Is Not The End which is Krewella’s latest release with Pegboard Nerds, another great group that is up-and-coming group. A example of the growth that Krewella sound is taking.

Krewella – Alive (Cash Cash x DJ Kalkutta)  |  Download

This is by far my favorite remix. Cash Cash made a  great comeback by phasing out of the pop punk scene and getting the opportunity to remix this track. Listen and Absorb.

Krewella – Killin’ It (Original Mix)  |  Download

This song has to be the most banging one out them all. The drop is just so heavy, original, and full of energy. Like nothing I’ve ever heard before.

I love Krewella and I love the direction he is taking his sub-section of the EDM scene. He is very new and basically only has two EP’s, one consisting of almost all remixes. For as little as he has published he has a surprisingly high level of hits. That’s something to watch out for. Below is his Discography.

Krewella – Can’t Control Myself (Candyland Remix) // Emotional Dubstep Trance Banger

Wow, what a beautiful blend of music. Can’t control myself is beautiful blend of house, trance and dubstep. This drop takes the track to a whole new level.  Candyland has been pumping out remixes like I’ve never seen before. His OG Remixes are defiantly the most notorious. No matter which part of him you like, he is a badass,
