Skrillex has to be one of the most open artist in the EDM scene, he will merge his music with virtually any other genre. He has made tracks for movies, for heavy metal bands, for hip-hop artist, and tons of EDM artist. The project Dog Blood is created by Skrillex and Boys Noize called Dog Blood.
It’s hard to categorize these tracks. I guess trap would be the best way. I’ve read article about how it’s rising in popularity. Next Order is mainly a dark glitchy electronic track that stay within its boundaries. The sound changes some as the track progresses but it’s a little hard to get into. Middle Finger is more diversified. It has more melodic, sharp sounds and distorted hip-hop vocals, overall it has a catchier beat than Next Order. American music is fusing more and more as time goes on, I have no idea what to expect next.
Download and Enjoy.
I havn’t posted a mashup in a while, so I guess now is a good time! This mashup come to you from 9th -Exit. The order and atmosphere of this Skrillex remix is excellent. If no one has heard Skrillex before this would be a good way to introduce them to it. The track can get a little nerve-racking , but if you are super into him, this track is for you.
Madeon has done it agian. This 17 year old electronic producer started his career with the sucessful Pop Culture youtube video. From there on he has a been a sensational source of upbeat, poppy, electronic music. Finale has more a of dramatic twist too it, the same style that Ivan Gough’s In My Mind has. Unfortunatly it is not for download (I Couldn’t find a link!) but enjoy the track non the less.
YES! This shit is soo tight. Blue Stahli has put a DOPE electronic beat to a classic song . Sabotoge (Blue Stahli Remix) instantly gives you a cool feeling when t he track starts. The track is so full of energy and life. The best part is it’s free.
This video helps define a important moment in electro/hip-hop cross breeding . You don’t see it done all the time, but when you do, it’s awesome . Zed’s Dead, a dubstep/electronic artist, and Omar LinX , a hip-hop artist , have gotten together to make one badass song and video, You and I. Meaningful lyrics, seductive voices and a relaxing beat creates a plethora of goodness that m makes this video easily unforgettable.
Never heard of this guy before, but wow. This song is so chill and melodic. When the drop hits it’s so appropriately heavy. This song doesn’t last too long to the point where you get tired of hearing it. I hope this track gets Kairo Kingdom a good buzz because I can’t wait to hear what he does next. Dead Sound is defiantly worth your time.
I love the Watch the Throne album that Jay-Z and Kayne collaberated on, every track on that album is phenomenal. Now they have come out with the first video of 2012 for the track No Church in the Wild. Although they don’t make an appearance in the video, it doesn’t take away from the fact that the video is bad ass . Set in modern times, this video contains passion filled rioters in Europe. The fight and struggle and it’s all in slow motion. It pretty bad ass and it reminds me of what Greece must be going through with their financial collapse happening. Watch this shit.
To celebrate his most re cent and honorable achivement, Avicii released a new track titled Two Million. Like most Avicii songs, it st arts quiet and slowley builds upon itself. The drop is a simple yet elegant house beat that any Euro clubber would love. I wonder if he will ever make something as impactful as Levels again…
If you are wondering how Knife Party got outrageously popular so quick Knife Party is a side project of two members of Pedelum. WHen I first heard tracks like Fire Hive and Unison (Knife Party Remix) I was hooked. Knife Party takes Dubstep to a whole new level. Rage Valley takes it even farther. These tracks will get even the most pessimistic music listener dancing. It just so alive and energetic. This four track EP is a must hear for any Knife Party, Pendulum, or Dubstep fans.
Adventure Club is one of the hottest up and coming artist in dubstep. There focus on cut-up vocals shows not only the time and effort they put into track, but also there ability to mix pop and dubstep together. Wait is a track that expresses there laid back side: Sampling Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Maps, the duo creates a laid back, extended track with catchy hooks and melodic womps.
